Painted in a free hour between lab reports, computers-assignments, and even more physics. It's amazing how time-draining some classes (especially lab) can be... had maybe 5h of free time over the past month. So yeh, sorry for the lack of art lately. Vacations start around the 17th or so, which should give me the chance to work on the 3 WIPs I still have on my computer over the Christmas season. Slap me if I don't :p

Hm... I find thermodynamics enjoyable, particularly dealing with engines and gaseous systems. For common macroscopic systems, one doesn't really even need to know much about thermodynamics to deal with them, just a bit of a calculus background, and a published steam table, though it is fun to play detective, searching for the fundamental equation, whereas with microscopic systems, one deals heavily with statistics and often the uncertainty of simultaneously where and when a component (or a group thereof) "is". Also, I find it interesting how the study of microscopic systems came after that of macroscopic systems since mechanics/thermodynamics can be derived from quantum mechanics, but that is a different thing entirely. Now, circuits... I leave that to the engineering and computer science majors, because I don't care for their study/construction at all. :p

I hate hate hate hate electric circuits. There is this couse called "Technical Computer Science" which basically deals with circuits and everything that builds up on this (basically, "how does a computer work?"). Can't really say that I like that subject, to say it optimistically...

And thermodynamics... meh, there are better topics. For example quantum mechanics :lol:
No, really, I like that one quite a bit :)

Really? Oh, thank goodness someone else hates them as much as I do. :XD:
I must be a little off in the head, because I prefer thermodynamics to quantum mechanics. There is just something about being able to physically look at your experiment that makes thermodynamics preferable to me. Main difference: quantum = lots of integrals, thermo = lots of derivatives. I do like both considerably, however. =)

Hmm, this reminds me that I probably need to take some more lessons in mathematics; I don't really like the fact that I am not able to solve certain problems with the means I know as of now (such as the look of atom orbitals) :p

Hopefully you will get most of what you need from your physics courses themselves, but more mathematics lessons could not hurt, I'm sure. A good understanding of differential calculus and polar/spherical coordinates is necessary for much of quantum theory, I've found, though I'm obviously not an expert by any standards. In fact, I'm taking a course this semester which covers the mathematical theory behind many concepts from quantum mechanics. Even though this is not my favorite topic, I think it will be interesting (not to mention, tough- everything is derivation upon derivation...).
