Remember when you made your first big travel? How did it feel to get back to the so familiar place that you left earlier? Probably this indescribable feeling consisting of happiness, joy, and full of experiences from your journey.
Imagine how sailorsmen from a few centuries ago felt, after they came back and remembered the place they left such a long time ago; this conversant bay, embellished with the sunset that marks their arrival. This eternal vacantness of nothing else but water finally found an end.


And for the last time, this is NO photograph! I was aiming for realism on that one but it's impossible to see exactly this scenery in real world (except if you buy a print, but that's a different story)

Edit (29 Aug 2009): Just some minor touch-ups. De-polygonized the mountains, increased the color-richness for print. Now you may ask why I altered it at all? Well, I lost the psd-file a couple months ago. And I can't live with that, so I actually redid it from scratch.
