Been having this idea for roughly half a year now but was lacking both time and processing power to actually realize it. Basically, I was making my first experiments with Vue's spherical render option (aka. 360° by 180° viewing angle) in June, 2010. Alas, it's much more processor-intensive than I imagined; and so it had to wait until I had the chance to connect a couple computers to render out a blown-up version.
And so, I am proud to present to you: Departure I intentionally made it a little large filesize-wisely, so you can enjoy it in full quality And a little bit about navigating: use the scroll-wheel or Ctrl + Shift to zoom in/out click and drag the mouse or use the arrow keys to turn around
Misc Facts - project started on: 28 Jun 2010 - original resolution: 6000x3000 pixels - Total render time: ~38 hours - number of computers rendering: up to 3 at a time
Richtig gut gemacht, ich habe eine nur vage Vorstellung, wieviel Arbeit das gewesen sein muß^^ Rundumsicht, Zoom, die Landschaft => und dann die Stimmung.. du setzt die Standards höher
Haha, glad you like it! I rendered it out with a horizontal viewing-angle of 360° and a vertical of 180° and mapped the image onto the surface of a sphere. You are inside the sphere and are able to pan around
Rundumsicht, Zoom, die Landschaft => und dann die Stimmung.. du setzt die Standards höher
I tried to move this up to my favorites and BOOM! The picture moved...I WAS FREAKING OUT!!!!!!!!OMG! OMG! THAT'S FREAKING AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >.<
How did you do this? Like...just...how? I'm...amazed. 0.0
