Been having this idea for roughly half a year now but was lacking both time and processing power to actually realize it. Basically, I was making my first experiments with Vue's spherical render option (aka. 360° by 180° viewing angle) in June, 2010. Alas, it's much more processor-intensive than I imagined; and so it had to wait until I had the chance to connect a couple computers to render out a blown-up version.
And so, I am proud to present to you: Departure
I intentionally made it a little large filesize-wisely, so you can enjoy it in full quality
And a little bit about navigating:
use the scroll-wheel or Ctrl + Shift to zoom in/out
click and drag the mouse or use the arrow keys to turn around
Enjoy and Happy New Year!
