Green hues, a rare color in nebulae, considering that it's not too easy to handle. Intermixed with other colors, it creates an interest...

Dragon's Eye by BLPH
Dragon's Eye
Shrouded in the mist of surrounding nebulae lies an area that is remarkable for its lack of dust. The only element in this area is a brightly shining star which seems to have eaten up all its surroundings. Due to its characteristic shape, we have named it the "Dragon's Eye".

Here's a new piece to pretend that I'm still somewhat alive and doing stuff. This one is more an amalgamation of experiments than following a single concept (apart from the eye-shape which I established within the first 10 minutes lol). I don't even know how often I switched color palettes and inverted everything to kind of rescue it from a complete failure :p

Well, anyways, I'm fairly happy with how it turned out in the end, so I'm releasing this one as a wallpaper-pack! Once you hit download, you're presented with the following sizes:
:bulletblue: 1920x1080 (16:9)
:bulletblue: 1920x1200 (16:10)
:bulletblue: 1600x1200 (4:3)

If you have a smaller monitor, just pick the right ratio and it should scale down smoothly ;)

Enjoy :)

Chaotica by BLPH
Chaotica
Scattared across the universe lie small pockets that birth planets, stars, and even whole galaxies. Upon first glance, they seem to have no structure; but as time progresses, order emerges from this chaos.

New stuff! :D
Also, something upright for a change. Image is slightly inspired by the state of my mind which slowly progresses into a swirling vortex of entropy where small cells form that tell me to catch the bus in the morning or to go to bed at slightly unreasonable times :p

Honestly, I have no idea what to write here anymore. If you have a question, just ask. I might even answer it (who am I kidding, I'll most likely answer it ;p).

Enjoy! :)

Consumption by BLPH
Consumption
Consume. The ultimate fate of every being, alive or inanimate. Anything will eventually be obliterated and eradicated by another entity. What seems to be the foundation of our reality can and will be abolished. And here we stand, waiting for the inevitable. Consume and be consumed.

Hey, it's been a while again. I'm terribly sorry for the lack of images lately, but free time is so sparsely sown these days. By now, I have reached a point where I dream of my work :x

Anyways, I still hope this wallpaper-pack will unrustle your jimmies in case they were not at peace. Just hit the download-button to the right for some juicy wallie :D

Enjoy! :)

(Unnecessary) fact!
The color scheme is partially based on the lasers I recently worked with. Technically, I have had access to the entire visible spectrum plus a bit of UV and infrared, but the wavelengths that stuck to me most were 405 (purple), 450 (blue), and 580 nm (yellow/orange-ish). Make something out of this info!

Will update description in a bit with something more elaborated maybe :p

Supernova by BLPH
Supernova
Here's a little something as a thank you to everybody that decided to fav my last DD, Of Grandest Majesties, or even toss me a watch. You rock! :D

Personally, I've wanted to paint something like this for a while now (probably a few years). My first attempts backfired quite harshly which is why I am particularly happy that this piece turned out a little more decent. Please, tell me what you think of it! :)

Also, let's try this Premium Content thing again. That version has resolution twice as high (3200 x 1800) with a less obstrusive watermark. If you have a few points to spare, please give it a try ;)

Enjoy :)
