Hazardous Encounter

"It is time to prepare ourselves for what is coming up. The era that we are about to encounter will question human's skill to adapt to new situations. Will we survive at all? With the sun growing larger and larger, it is just a matter of time until we're all vaporized..."



Small background info: initially done in June, 2008 but re-done in June, 2009. Concept behind it: the sun has reached its final stadium and begins to increase its size to become a red giant. The scene is purely fictional, this might be our Earth in about 1 billion years. The fact that you can see 2 planets on the horizon leaves the decision up to you if this is our planet or some random, earth-like one.

edit(1 Jul 2008): Well, I felt like totally redoing this one with just a few things left from the old version. Looks a little more "professional" than the old version, if I may say so. At least, it looks a little more realistic now
